Our new house!

Rob and I got back from the honeymoon and deciced we're sick of paying rent and it was time to buy our very first home. We applied for the mortgage got approved and met with a realtor and within a week found a house that is perfect for our first home.
The inspection is this morning and if all goes well it's ours!!


Guess next step is babies??

Jamaica Mon

We're back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With no pro pics of the wedding yet I thought I would do a post of the honeymoon. Wedding pics should be here today so expect a post on that shortly.
We spent a fabulous 10 days at the RIU Ocho Rios in Jamaica. It did rain all but 3 days the whole time we were there but would only rain for a couple of hours in the afternoon, so we got in the routine to be up and at breakfast for 8am and than on the beach by 9am for a couple hours of sun and swimming. The resort was fabulous, staff was amazing, food was good and it was kept really clean.
We ended up doing 3 excursions off the resort, the Bob Marley tour which was incredible, got to see his house and sit on his bed and even saw his final resting place. We also did the Cool Runnings booze cruise and Dunn's River Falls climb which is a must do for anyone visiting Jamaica. On sunday I let myself be convinced to do the canopy(zip line) tour; the first line was completley frightening but once I got the hang of it I was lovin it.
Needless to say we're sad to be home and back to reality.

First backyard party of the season

Saturday was 23 degrees here in Ottawa so we thought it would be the perfect time for a neighborhood party in the backyard.

Surprise!! Bridal Shower

My girls threw me a fabulous surprise bridal shower on friday April 6th. To get me there I was told it was a scrapbooking event at the hotel where Steph works, very believable. Heather even had a print out of the email from the scrapbooking lady, Steph put the creative memories meeting on the function board in the hotel lobby and even the reception desk was in on it!!

I think everyone had a great time, there was lots of yummy food the requisite bridal shower games and lots of gifts!! Thanks to everyone for coming!

I love him and am on his website at least twice a day but probably more than that.

He was at Algonquin College Apr 4th so Sara and I decided to go!! It was fabulous!

I spent about 5 hours this weekend finishing up and addressing the wedding invitations. They are now en route so keep your eyes peeled!

3 Months til we're Hitched!

Wow, I cannot beleive that the time is almost here. In just 3 short months we will be husband and wife.
I cannot wait for our big day and to share our joy with all of our family and friends.
I guess I better get those invites finished!

Jamaica, here we come!

The honeymoon is finally booked and I managed to get a really great deal! Gotta love being a travel agent sometimes.
We will be leaving out of Ottawa on monday May 28 for 9 nights and will be staying at the luxurious RIU Ocho Rios. The hotel looks absolutely amazing and I've read some great reviews on it. The best part is that there is a liquor dispenser in the room so we don't even need to leave!




Can't wait to lounge on these!
